［ステートメント］
罪深く、背徳的で、禁じられた悦び。
それは、後ろめたさを感じながらも抗えない魅力を持つものー認めたくないのに惹かれてしまう対象、嗜好、感情。快感と罪悪感が表裏一体となった背徳の誘惑。
誰しも一つや二つ、人には言えない秘密を抱えているものです。そして、それこそが人間らしさの証でもある。禁忌に触れる瞬間の高揚、背徳感と共に味わう悦楽。
この展示では、テル・ノヂの作品を通して、それらの「禁じられた悦び」を、ユーモアと遊び心を持って、ポップに、時に挑発的に探求します。

［作家プロフィール］
テル・ノヂ（Teru Noji）
グラフィックデザイナー、現代美術家、人形アニメーター。
1971年東京生まれ。1992年バンタンデザイン研究所ファッションデザイン学部卒業。
70〜80年代の幼少期を父親の仕事の都合で香港や米国で過ごした事が影響し、人生の四分の三以上を国外で生きることとなる。90年代にインドに取り憑かれその放浪癖をアジア、中南米、アフリカ大陸に伸ばす。
2000年、フランス人女性との間に長男が誕生したことをきっかけに当時居住のバリ島から帰国、デザイン事務所を東京にて始動。
2006年よりフランスのアルルに移住、現在に至る。
2022年、旧友の召きにより、渋谷・宮下パークDAYZにて、初の日本での個展を開催、実に18年ぶりの帰国を果たす機会ともなる。二児の父。
挑発的な作風、ブラックユーモア、シュルレアリスム、エロティシズムを特徴とする。横尾忠則氏のポップ・アートに多大な影響を受ける。

Statement
Sinful, subversive, and sweetly forbidden.
There are things that attract us precisely because they feel off-limits—desires we can’t quite admit, pleasures laced with guilt.
We all carry secret cravings. And perhaps that’s what makes us human.
This exhibition explores those “forbidden joys” with humor, charm, and a healthy dose of mischief.

Teru Noji is a contemporary artist, graphic designer, and doll animator, born in Tokyo but shaped by decades abroad. After spending his childhood in Hong Kong and the U.S., Noji began his artistic journey in France—a country that became a turning point in his life—and is currently based in Arles, southern France.
In this rare three-day solo exhibition, Noji presents a playful yet provocative body of work: tattooed Barbies and antique figurines transformed with pop-cultural rebellion. Known for his black humor, surrealism, and eroticism, Noji breathes new stories and meaning into familiar icons and forgotten treasures—blurring the line between kitsch and fine art.
