「バービー」と「オッペンハイマー」を掛け合わせたミームについて思う事

映画「バービー」を楽しみにしている。しかし地元アルルの映画館ではフランス語吹き替え版のため、まだ観ていない。

 実写化映画「バービー」と、原爆を開発した物理学者の映画「オッペンハイマー」の同時公開によるBarbenheimerなる造語と共に、ネット上に溢れる原爆投下を連想させる背景描写、キノコ雲をバービーのヘアスタイルのようにコラージュさせたり等のミームについて。
ポップカルチャーの象徴としてバービーを敬愛し、バービー人形を用いた作品を数多く発表してきた立場にいる表現者としてここは自分の意見を述べないわけにはいかない；

「うわっダッセー、センスねえわ全部ゴミ。全く笑えない。マジ胸くそ。世の義務教育は一体何を教えている？」
これらは反戦や原爆の悲惨さを訴えるアンチテーゼ的表現にも全く思えない。

ある意味こんな「貰い事故」に、来日中のグレタ・ガーウィグ監督が謝罪する必要はないけれども、もしこの件についての言及がこのまま無かったら、皮肉にもまるでご本人が「プラチックなバービー感」を象徴していて、とても寂しい。「”バービー”だから、良くも悪くも都合の悪いことを無視・超越し、その際に見えてくる愉快さ・悲しみ」がこの映画のテーマなんじゃないの？
ここは作り手として、熱く泥臭い人間的な怒りを見せて欲しかった。

PS:　8月6日と9日は原爆が投下された「原爆の日」だ。そこだけ忘れずに映画関係者各位にはジャポンをとことん楽しんで欲しい、なかなかいい国だから。

I'm actually looking forward to the movie "Barbie." However, at the local movie theater in Arles, they only have the French dubbed version, so I haven't seen it yet.

As a creator who admires Barbie as a symbol of pop culture and has presented numerous works featuring Barbie dolls, I can't help but express my opinion here.　

Regarding the meme that combines “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer", the memes featuring background images that evoke thoughts of atomic bomb detonations, mushroom clouds resembling Barbie's hairstyle:
Seriously, it’s infuriating. Not even funny. So lame. All trash. 
I just wonder, what are they teaching in History class these days?

These expressions don't  convey any anti-war or anti-atomic bomb sentiment at all.

In a way, there's no need for Director Greta Gerwig, who is currently visiting Japan, to apologize for this "unintended incident." However, if there is no mention of this matter, it ironically gives the impression as if she embodies the "plastic Barbie-like" image herself, which is quite sad.
Isn't the theme of this film all about being 'Barbie'―ignoring and transcending both the good and the bad, and finding the delight and sorrow in the process? In this aspect, as a creator, I was hoping to see her passionate, gritty, and human anger displayed.

PS: August 6th and 9th are "Atomic Bomb Memorial Days" when the atomic bombs were dropped. Please keep that in mind, and I hope all those involved in the movie can thoroughly enjoy Japan—it's a pretty great country.
