いしだあゆみとユーミン

映像は、先月逝去したいしだあゆみとユーミンの対談。
いしだあゆみのザ・女優（あえて”俳優”と呼ばず敬意を込め”女優”とする）としての圧倒的な眼差しと美しさ、そしてユーミンの芯の通った力強い発言。まるで日本刀で斬り合っているかの如く、両者のギラギラとした隙のない凛とした強さが美しい。
個人的に彼女を初めて意識したのは80年代の「寅さん」か。細身のシルエットが母に似ているきれいな人、という印象。
「北の国から」では、純と蛍の病床の母親役が圧巻で、劇中富良野に住む子供達を訪れた際に、泣きながら全力で走る蛍との別れのシーンや、特に純との病院での会話が、まるで自分の記憶と重なってしまい、胸が詰まった。
幼い頃実際に母を亡くし、同じように病院で最後の時を過ごした私としては、あの場面がどうしても脳裏から離れない。
細野さん率いるティン・パン・アレイをバックに唄うあゆみさんも、フィル・スペクターの手腕によるダイアナ・ロスっぽさを彷彿とさせて本当に素敵。合掌。

Ayumi, who passed away last month, had that powerful, elegant gaze―so much so that I feel “actress” is more fitting than the gender-neutral “actor.” Yuming, on the other hand, speaks strong and clear. Like seeing two sharp katanas cross paths―graceful, intense, and no wasted movement.
I first noticed Ayumi in the 80s Tora-san films. Reminded me of my mom―slim, gentle, and striking.
But her role in Kita no Kuni Kara left a deeper mark. As the dying mother of Jun & Hotaru, she returns to Furano one last time.
That goodbye with Hotaru running through with tears, and the quiet hospital scene with Jun―those moments hit hard. I lost my own mother young and spent her final days in a hospital, just like in the show. And the overlap was too real to forget.
And Ayumi singing with Tin Pan Alley led by Hosono-san, total magic―like Diana Ross in a Phil Spector wall of sound.
Rest in peace, Ayumi-san.
